B. P. Chemicals supplies high-performance Fluoro silicone Rubber (FSR/FVMQ) ”The BDFS Series” sourced from our principal CGFSE, China, a leading global manufacturer of Fluoroelastomers and specialty silicone materials. FSR is engineered to close the performance gap between conventional silicone and FKM rubber, delivering a rare combination of extreme low-temperature flexibility and strong resistance to fuels and oils in a single elastomer.
What is Fluorosilicone Rubber (FSR) ?
Fluorosilicone rubber is a specialty elastomer built on a silicone backbone modified with trifluoro propyl groups. This molecular structure combines the wide-temperature-range flexibility that silicone is known for with the chemical inertness and fuel resistance associated with fluorine-based polymers. The result is a material that stays flexible and seals reliably even at temperatures as low as - 60°C, while resisting swelling and degradation on contact with gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and mineral or silicone-based oils, conditions that would compromise a standard silicone compound.

FSR compounds are peroxide-cured, giving them a robust, high-tear-strength network suitable for both static and dynamic sealing applications, and are processed via compression, transfer, injection, extrusion, and calendaring methods.

Key Performance Advantages
Extreme Cold Flexibility
Retains sealing force and elastic memory down to - 60°C, preventing leaks during cold starts or high-altitude/sub-zero operation.
Strong Fuel & Oil Barrier
Offers excellent resistance to gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, and silicone-based oils, with markedly better volume-swell resistance than standard silicone rubber.
Wide Thermal Operating Range
Performs reliably from - 60°C to + 200°C, a range that few other elastomer families can match.
Excellent Weatherability
Highly resistant to ozone, UV exposure, and outdoor ageing, supporting long service life in exterior and under-hood applications.
Good Processability
Formulated for smooth moulding and extrusion with good mould release and flow, supporting low scrap rates and fine detail reproduction.
Why Choose FSR (FVMQ) from M/s. B. P. Chemicals?
-
Single-material solution
Where standard silicone swells in fuel and standard FKM stiffens in the cold, FSR removes that trade-off, simplifying material selection for demanding applications.

-
Precision sealing capability
Good flow properties support fine, thin-wall parts such as micro O-rings and diaphragms used in fuel injection and sensing equipment.

-
Reliable performance in static and dynamic use
Maintains structural integrity as both a stationary gasket and a moving valve seal under sustained pressure.

-
Backed by an established supply relationship
M/s. B. P. Chemicals has been importing and distributing synthetic rubbers and specialty rubber chemicals since 1973, with direct principal relationships ensuring consistent quality and reliable lead times for the Indian market.
